2017 HRC VISIBILITY AWARD RECIPIENT: ASIA KATE DILLON
Star of Showtime Series “Billions”
Asia Kate Dillon is a performer, writer and director residing in New York City. Recently cast in the role of Taylor, a non-binary gender identifying character in Showtime’s Billions, Dillon is the first non-binary gender identifying actor to ever be cast in a major television series. In addition to Billions, they* can be seen playing Brandy Epps in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black.
Past Seattle Dinner Speakers and Award Recipients
At last year’s 2016 Seattle Dinner, HRC presented movie and TV actorВ Colton Haynes with its Visibility Award soon after he came out publicly as gay in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. His speech was truly touching and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
In 2015, Seattle HRC Dinner Committee honored celebrity guest speaker Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman from the series UnReal. He was joined by fabulous advocates for equality Jim Obergefell, Dana Goldberg, and HRC President Chad Griffin.
